That's what I thought, but I was just making sure. Mine won't have incest or be open world. Also, a lot of the choices didn't seem to really effect anything. Start with my next update, which will be middle school, I want to try to make the choices feel like they actually change things. For instance, the two students you meet in elementary school. In real life you can go your whole academic career with someone in the same class and never talk to them. But if you talked to them in middle or high school, maybe things could have turned out different. That's what I want to do with this game. Will I be able to? Fuck if I know. But I'm gonna try my damnedest.

To be honest, incest is a cool thing if it is well prescribed in the game.

I will add a couple of thoughts to my post above.
As for the choice, I have a bad attitude about it, because the choice should feel like you described it.
It's not just a decision that we chose girl a instead of girl b, but the choice should be licked in such an option as you described, I personally call it a deferred choice.

Personally, in my training projects, where I test the operation of this system and learn how to do it, I have identified several types of choices.

Choosing routes.
The most banal and simple selection system, the player has a small beginning where he chooses the route along which the whole game will go.

The system of sub-routes and branches in the plot of the game.
We create the main storyline and then create branches and sub-routes to these branches of the game's plot.
Yes, the game has a clear and direct storyline, but the player chooses which way to go to the end.

Delayed selection or a system of consequences of the player's actions.
The most difficult system, because you must not only write the plot of the game well, but also prepare several options for the influence of choice on this plot.
Why did I say this is a complex system? Because the game will punish you for making wrong decisions.
No matter how many developers make this system, this system cannot have the right solution.
Therefore, any decision must bear both losses and advantages.
Therefore, whatever you choose, you lose something and gain something.

:coffee: I say this is my personal opinion about the selection system in games, which I came to during tests and training on its creation.

This is a great description of choices.

Haven't played yet but I would caution how much game you put in that is pre age of consent. Feels really weird to roleplay a child in a porn game. A prologue is fine but that's all it should be. A setup for playing as a teenager/young adult

That's what it is.
